Independent Instruction
I provide unbiased information about the standard protocols of a wide variety of obstetricians, hospitals, birth centers, and homebirth midwives, based on my experiences over the last 17 years and 550+ births, which instructors who are employed by a single institution may not be able to do. Although I am honored that many care providers refer their clients to me, I do not work for any institution or care provider, and am paid only by the couples in my class.
Natural Childbirth Emphasis
Pursuing an unmedicated childbirth is not a common choice in today’s culture, nor is it an option heavily emphasized in most hospital childbirth classes. Couples who wish to try “going natural” will benefit from a class specifically tailored to preparing them for natural birth to be an attainable option, no matter where they are giving birth- in or out of the hospital.
Introduction to Coping Techniques
Rather than focusing on a single “method” of childbirth education, such as Bradley, Lamaze, Birthing from Within, or Hypnobirthing, my classes use a practical combination of approaches, incorporating elements from many schools of thought about birth. Armed with an introduction to the different options available to them, individual couples can pursue further education about the technique(s) they find the most helpful and appealing.
Convenient
My private “boot-camp style” childbirth class is taught all in one focused 3-5 hour session at a day/time mutually convenient for the couple and me. This format is convenient for busy couples whose schedules do not allow for a traditional natural CBE series which is held over many weeks or weekends in a row.

Cherish Birth childbirth classes cost $225 for virtual, or $250 for private face-to-face class at your location within my service area.
Class Size
After 16+ years of teaching small group classes, since March 2020, I have been offering private classes. This format change facilitates individualized instruction tailored to the needs of the specific participants and protects the health of my clients who are uncomfortable in a group setting during the changing pandemic situation.

For those who value a faith-based perspective on the miracle of pregnancy and birth, I cover all the same information and techniques as the standard natural childbirth class series, with the added faith-based focus.
