July 2013 I gave birth to my first child – a son! I can truly say that I look back on my labor and delivery with such fondness. It was a joyful, beautiful day! My desire was to have a natural child birth, vaginal delivery – and I did!! I believe that the outcome of that day was determined by many factors – one of them being Delilah as our doula.
When making the decision to have a doula, I desired for my husband to be my primary coach and support during labor with the doula providing expert guidance and support both to myself and my husband. Delilah exceeded our expectations!!

Her experience and knowledge of the labor process helped to ease any fear or anxiety that we might have had that day. She was actively involved throughout the labor making recommendations in positioning, ensuring I was well hydrated, and providing verbal reassurance both to me and my husband, and keeping family up to date throughout the labor process.
She also recorded a birth story and took pictures during the labor and birth – both keepsakes that we will treasure always. I am so incredibly thankful to have had Delilah as our doula. She is a blessing, very skilled in her profession, and I would recommend her to others in a heartbeat. -Angela
